Fortunately, I didn't have such a problem, snaps into place on both the soundcard port and the optical port on the receiver. Wouldn't hesitate to buy one of these again if the need arises. I was just a little apprehensive about purchasing this cable for one of my PCs connected to a 5.1 Home Theater system that is mainly used for movie and music streaming in the living room, because some reviewers experienced poor port connections. I had a much older 6ft cable but needed a bit more length with my current setup.
This item does not stay well connected to the device, works well otherwise. Needs better secure connectivity.
Very happy with this product.Arrived quickly sound quality with this cable is great.would definitely recommend this.
The sounds appears to be fine, but i found the connections feel a bit cheap. Can't say much more about this item than the title. I have another optical cable that i paid much more for that feels a bit more sturdy all around, but can't say i wouldn't buy this again and save the money.
I guess this product is better than the RCA cable. I haven't used it yet.
